USDA Health Inspection

If you have never read a USDA Health Inspection Report from a commercial breeder or puppy mill you should do so. Anyone can request these reports. They are very sad to read. Often you will see that there are 200 - 400 dogs being "taken care of" by as few as 2 people.

These puppy mills literally breed these Wheatens (and all others) until they die - without ever giving them proper vet care. Check out examples of this abuse on our Rescue Stories page, the "34 Kerry Blues Rescue". The "Mills" ditch the dogs at auctions when they can't sell them, or they are too sick, or when they can't breed them any more.

So much for Government Inspection. Chicken breeders are more stringently monitored. Think pay-offs here!
